Pet Friendly Trucking Companies

The other day we hired a driver who has a bird in his truck. It's a Macaw. It talks and makes noises like a robot. That's not the point of this post though. The point is that we asked how he found us and he said that his searches were different than most people's. Most people search for "trucking jobs" or "high paying trucking jobs". We realized that we were missing a whole subset of drivers. Truck drivers who keep pets with them in their trucks are a growing group and need to be accommodated. Most drivers have a dog as a co-driver, some have cats, and we've even seen ferrets. The latest in this topic is the bird, but we're sure there's more pets to come, and we'll be ready to help them find a home in a truck. If you know of a pet friendly trucking company, please leave your comment below to help other drivers.

  1. That is really a great thing. I would like to tell that I have recently came across a firm who is providing the trucking jobs.

  2. My friend recently just switched over to a company and they let him haul around his dog, it is really neat since i think trucking on your own all the time would be pretty depressing. If anyone is interested in this company they have Flatbed Driver Jobs available.

  3. What an interesting article. I think that having a bird while you were trucking would definitely make for an easy drive. Something that I also like is how this trucker found his job. It sounds like there was a lot of different sources he could use to be able to find the job he was looking for. http://www.voyagernation.com/owner_operator_jobs.html

  4. It had never occurred to me that a truck driver might bring a pet along with them. It makes sense if they enjoy the company of the animal. Trucking can be a long and lonely job at times. Having a pet could make things better and time go faster.

  5. It seems like it would be important to join a trucking company that would allow you to bring your pet, if you have no one to take care of them. My uncle enjoys bringing his dog with him. That way he has a companion with him for the long drives he goes on. http://www.bobbyhoelschertrucking.com
